Twins on the way!

Babies #4 and #5 are on the way!   The Rowley family is expecting twin boys, Malachi and Titus, to arrive in about 5 weeks.    Mom looked amazing!  These boys are going to have quite the welcoming committee with 3 big sisters. The girls excitement about their little brothers on the way was totally contagious!  I can’t wait to take newborn photos for them!  Congrats Mike, Sarah and girls!

A lifestyle family session – Longview Lifestyle photography.

My sister-in-law is a fellow photog and we traded family sessions with each other, I had so much fun getting to photograph her lovely family.  Lifestyle sessions really are my favorite!  You get to capture so much more than just the ‘look at the camera and smile’ side of a family.  (Though we did incorporate a few posed photos too!)  It’s always a surprise seeing what families do and trying to document their relationships with each other!

My Family!

My sister-in-law and I are both photographers and both of us were in need of new family photos, so we decided to  trade family sessions with each other.  (I’m photographing her family on Friday) I have to say it’s quite different being in front of the camera when your so used to being behind it!  So yes, this is me with my husband Bryce and my wonderful kiddos, Casey and Olivia.   Thank you for doing an amazing job Jenica!

Lizard s’mores help Chinooks stomp the Beavers!!!

Kalama took out Woodland in an exciting season opening game!

Quoted from The Daily News of Longview Wa.

Kalama senior Robby Sanders won’t need breakfast today. Maybe not even lunch or dinner.

Sanders took 20 big bites out of Woodland’s turf Friday night, and chewed up 115 yards and spit out a touchdown as the Chinooks overpowered the error-prone Beavers 40-21 in the nonleague season opener for both teams.

The Chinooks defeated their I-5 rivals for the second straight year, taking advantage of seven Beaver turnovers — including three interceptions that were returned for touchdowns.

But the big-play defense and Sanders’ insatiable appetite weren’t the only keys for Kalama.

“The real reason we won is that after our pasta dinner (Thursday night), we were sitting around a fire and we caught a lizard. We cooked the lizard in the fire and put it in a s’more, and Cody Mazza ate it,” Sanders said. “Then Nick Braman danced in the fire. That’s why we won.”

Whatever works.”

and that about sums it up!  :)

She said ‘Yes!’

So a bit of backstory is needed here….   (and just an FYI, this is a bit more personal than what I generally get on here, but totally worth sharing!)

My friend Beth has been the most amazing loyal friend a girl could ever ask for.  She’s been there for me through my good times, my bad times and my just plain stupid times.   She’s always told me the truth….even sometimes when I really didn’t want to hear it, because that’s what good friends do.  I was so incredibly honored to get to be a part of this…

So last Wednesday Beth’s boyfriend Matt called me up and told me he was planning on proposing to Beth (which I am totally thrilled about because, well, he’s just pretty stinkin cool!) He wanted me there when he asked her the question so there could be photos of the proposal.   He asked me to give her a call to see if they (as in Matt and her) would like to go on a double date with my husband and I.  So I did, and she said yes.

We set out on our double date to Cannon Beach. We stopped on the way there at Seaside and shopped awhile, and the whole time Beth had NO idea what was planned for her.

Closer on towards sunset we drove to Cannon Beach and started walking along.  We got in front of Haystack Rock and my hubby said “Hey, why don’t you take our picture together and then we can take your picture together?”  So we posed and then I fell back with my camera all ready  to catch the action….

So yes…. it was perfect, and she did say Yes!  :-)

And just one more of Beth and I in that AMAZING hat store in Seaside!  :-)

Lots of dirt!

My kids and I took a trip out to my parents house in Rose Valley.  They are just in the beginning stages of their new house and broke ground this week.  There were piles of dirt and trenchs everywhere!  Casey and Olivia had so much fun exploring the dirt piles and trenchs and were entertained for hours. It was GREAT!  After they were done, instead of cleaning them up like a good mom, I took pictures.  It was just too precious.  So mom’s, please don’t cringe when you look at these, I promise I bathed them as soon as I could! :-)

My little sisters birthday was the same day and she asked for donuts instead of cake….Olivia LOVED it! :-)   (I’m cringing looking at this and realizing how dirty she really was! lol)

He’s just starting to understand where food really comes from (besides the grocery store!) and is totally fascinated with all the vegetables in my mom’s garden.   He’s cleaning off the carrots here for me.
