When life gives you lemons make lemonade!

That statement can take on a whole new meaning when your talking about the Lemmons family.   :-)

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing my brother-in-law, Craig’s, wedding.  My other sister-in-law, Jenica Lemmons (Lemondrops photography) photographed the wedding with me.  I’m so excited to have Nicole join the Lemmons clan.  Crazy as we may be, we love her to death (and we hope she likes us too!!!!).   It’s been so fun to get to be a part of the journey these two have made together and I’m looking forward to many more years of fun times with these two.

As we were driving out to the photo location we happened upon a friend of Craig’s driving this car.   We flagged him down and asked if we could have a few photos with his car.     I have to say it’s the most unique car I’ve ever gotten to photograph!

The lighting was a bit tough to work with here, but I was loving the chiapet license.

Normally when I turn to get the shot of the groom seeing the bride walk down the aisle I catch a guy in a big awestruck grin gazing at their soon-to-be wife.

Just one….

My brother-in-law got married to his best friend today.   I’m exhausted from a long day of decorating and shooting, but I had to share just one.  Once I’ve had a good night’s sleep I’ll be back to share many more!    I’m so happy to have a new sister.  :-)

Promised…..

Samantha and Nick booked me to photograph their wedding this coming March, and after this session I can’t wait!   These two were so much fun to photograph.  We met up at Scoopers in Long Beach Washington for their session and spent 3 hours walking around the streets and the beach just having fun.  We couldn’t have asked for a better day!  Sunshine, blue skies and a cool ocean breeze were with us.      Their love for each other was apparent ….whenever I turned around to change lenses I would turn back around and catch them kissing behind my back.   It was adorable!

Thank you Sam and Nick!  I can’t wait to be a part of your wedding day!

Mike + Kelly = Forever

Mike and Kelly got married on Saturday.   It was a perfectly gorgeous day for a wedding, and I couldn’t have been more happy to be there.  They got married at the First Christian Church here in Longview, and the ceremony and reception were just lovely.    You could just tell these two are absolutely perfect for each other and so in love!  Mike surprised Kelly the morning of with a very sweet note and a gift of some beautiful pearls for her to wear with her dress.  It was so sweet that I had to take a photo of it.     She made an absolutely stunning bride, and Mikes expression was priceless when he saw her for the first time as she walked down the aisle.

My assistant Nate did a fabulous job helping me capture their day, and several of the images that I’m showing below are from his cameras.  It’s really been wonderful having him help me – I couldn’t ask for a better assistant!    Thank you Nate!  :-)

A huge thank you to Mike and Kelly as well, it has been wonderful getting to know you two and sharing in your special day.  I hope that you cherish these photographs for many, many years to come, and I pray for God’s richest blessings on you two as you begin your new life together!

The “T” Family – Longview Family Photography

This family is seriously wonderful.    Chuck  is the Pastor at our home church, Father’s House, and I have to say we absolutely love him AND his family.    God has used him and his wife Nancy to help my husband and I through some tough times and we are truly blessed and thankful to have such wonderful pastors.   I met up with the family last Monday out at Willow Grove to do a family session.  I really enjoyed spending a few quick hours with them and I’m hoping they enjoy their photos too!

Thank you to the “T” family for having me as your photographer!

Baby “N” is growing up!

I met up with Mr. N.  this weekend for a mini-session out at Willow Grove.  I couldn’t help but post about him as he was SOOOO cute!  I photographed him as a newborn 6 months ago, and it was amazing to see how much he has grown since then.   His eyes in the first photo had me absolutely mesmerized.

Life’s little polka dots…..

Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of doing a quick session with Molly of Life’s Little Polka Dots.  The purpose of the session was to get a headshot for Molly’s website.  If you haven’t already clicked on the link above, then let me tell you about Molly.  Molly is the owner and event planner for Life’s Little Polka Dots.  I met Molly online about 6 months ago and we had the pleasure of working together for the first time at a wedding I photographed back in April.  Saying “I had the pleasure”  is such an understatement actually….. She did an AMAZING job coordinating the whole affair.  My job was so easy that day. Without a coordinator it can often be stressful and confusing….let me tell you!  I was extremely grateful to have Molly that day.  Her wonderful organizational skills and made it easy for me to spend lots of time photographing everything that the bride wanted and I was so thrilled with the results.    I highly recommend hiring this gal if you are planning on getting married soon…..you won’t be disappointed, I promise!

Fun with color! – Longview Family photographer

Mrs.  K is a good friend of mine AND a fellow photographer here in Longview.  I was thrilled to be asked to do her family session this last week.   Being a photographer herself she is very familiar with how to pick good clothing for portraits and her family was no exception!  I absolutely love the color combinations she came up with for her family.   They all were so bright and cheerful and their outfits went along great with the bright colors in downtown Longview.

We had a blast on the session, there are all sorts of fun spots to do family photos down there.    Her kids were adorable, and though they did have  a slight case of photographers child syndrome (children that run and hide when cameras are pulled out!) they warmed up to me as we got going and I ended up getting some very cute expressions from them.

Thank you to the K family for having me as your photographer the rest of your portraits will be finished soon!  :-)
