Shawn and Jessica held their wedding on his families property in LaCenter, it was the PERFECT setting! Right on the Lewis River, with gorgeous open shade, plus a giant airfield next to where the ceremony was, which was an awesome location for their photos. I had a blast working with them, and SO appreciated having my assistant Nate there to help out with everything. Thank you so much for having us Shawn and Jessica! Lots of blessings to you guys in your new life together!

Rashad – 2010 Senior photos
OK….so I’m a little late in posting this session, but better late than never right? Wedding season has me slammed and the poor blog, well, it’s neglected to say the least! Early last week I had a crazy “family emergency” of sorts, and ended up taking a red-eye to San Francisco Tuesday. I didn’t get home till Friday and lost an entire week of work. Needless to say, blogging has been bottom of the old priority list till now! So….here I am, back in town and I’m going to do my absolute best to get all caught up on this thing over the next week. San Francisco, by-the-way, is beautiful! I didn’t take my regular camera since, like I said, I caught a red-eye and didn’t really have time to pack a bag, nor did I want to check a bag….so the point-and-shoot/video camera that my hubby and I have had to do for the photos. I’ll try and share some later….but first of all, let me catch up on some of my clients!
Rashad - Well, I did this session at the beginning of May. He was great to work with – his mom and step-dad own my favorite little produce stand here in town – Payton’s Produce. They are great people, and it’s been fun getting to know them!
Thanks for having me as your photographer Rashad!
Confessions of a crazy photographer….
Ok…so….you’ve all seen the pictures I take, but photos of me? That’s a rarity….I prefer to stay on the backside of the camera. But really….it’s time that I share what I do…what I love, so I’ve decided to post about it, complete with pictures of me in action….or just me sitting on my butt on a hay bale. All of these photos were taken by my wonderful friends…Nate, Sharnessa and Elena. I so appreciate them grabbing these shots!
I confess that photos like this are why I stay BEHIND the camera – Can you say “CHEESE?” Really though, can you possibly get any cheesier?
I also confess that shots like this where I “look” like a proper photographer are rare.
Your more likely to catch me in the grass…..or in the barn. I really am more comfortable in weird places.
I confess that I am often a test subject for new lenses and lighting (as are my assistants!)
Bokeh test: (which btw bokeh on this shot ROCKS! Go 135 L!)
16-35 L lens distortion demonstration (I hesitate to add this one because it is UGLY but it makes me laugh so oh well!)
Yes….the rumors are true…a camera CAN add 10 lbs. just look at my eyes!
Ultimately though, I confess that my favorite part about my job is that I get to do things like this -
and this -
But even better…..are the in between moments when my camera goes down.
(and yes….I know I look junky….but little Angel looks gorgeous and THAT is what is important!)
So yeah….there’s me. I confess that my ABSOLUTE favorite part of my job is the part I don’t get paid for…..or I guess you could say the part that the OTHER parts pay for.
I confess that I am a crazy photographer and I LOVE my job. :-)
Alex – Longview Senior portraits.
When Alex told me her vision for her session I couldn’t help but get excited – I LOVE anything vintage and it’s rare that I get a chance to photograph a session with a vintage twist. Alex’s wardrobe (and her beauty!!!) is really what made this session perfect…..well, the setting was awesome too….but the wardrobe and Alex…I love it! If I were rich, I would hire this girl to be my stylist. :-) (Did I mention I LOVE vintagey things?). So….being that her outfits were vintage, it was only proper that I give a few of these photos a vintage twist in the processing.
Thank you Alex for having me as your photographer! I had a blast working with you. :-)
