I meet the most amazing people with this job and Tim and Aimee were no exception.
The moment they told me that they were going to have beer and pizza for their wedding reception I knew that I was meant to be their photographer. Seriously? Can you get any cooler than that? They held their wedding at Fort George Brewery in Astoria, and it could not have been a more perfect day. We started the day by photographing the bridal party preparations at a home in Warrenton, where we also did their first look. Their first look? So Tim cried first. Then Aimee cried. Then I found the back of my camera fogging up, because yes, I was crying too. It’s always such an emotional moment when the bride and groom see each other for the first time and I’m just a little sentimental about it. Sigh….
Then we drove out to the Warrenton docks. I hadn’t ever been there and it was definitely one of those moments where I was driving by and went “that place looks cool, lets shoot there” with no idea what I was getting myself into. We survived the wobbly docks (they were a little sketchy) and captured some of my favorite images from the day. Then we moved on to downtown Astoria where we finished up bridal party photos before heading over to Fort George for the wedding.
The rest of the day went perfectly, so much laughter, so many sentimental tears, and so much love.
Thank you Tim and Aimee for having me as your photographer.
