Another baby bump! | Maternity Photography

My good friend Amanda was due March 4th, but since I’ve taken these photos she popped! Her sweet baby boy was born just a few days after I took these at Tam O’ Shanter park in Kelso. I can’t wait to meet him and take some precious newborn photos of him! Thank you guys and Congratulations!

This is baby #6 for Maggie! Maggie is a good friend of mine (once upon a time she photographed MY wedding….and did amazing I might add!) I was honored to be able to photograph her sweet baby boy that arrived on the much coveted birthday 1-11-11. He was a joy to photograph….and of course snuggle. Thank you Maggie! Love you bunches and give Gideon a snuggle from me!

At the time I photographed this session there were 12 (yes 12!!!!) pregnant women in my church. If you follow my facebook you might have seen a photo shoot that 6 of us did early in December. We’ve all been having so much fun being pregnant together, and we all seemed to end up due approximately 3 weeks a part (give or take a few days). There are going to be a LOT of babies by the end of spring.

These two gals are good friends of mine, and wanted to do a quick shoot of the just two of them together before Autumn (the one with the darker hair) went into labor. Amanda (the blonde one) is due 3 weeks before me. Amanda’s full maternity session should be coming up here soon. I absolutely cannot wait to meet and snuggle these sweet little babies!

Sophia – Vancouver WA maternity photographer

I have to preface this by saying I am SO late in blogging this session – we did this in mid-July, and well….life has gotten away from me just a bit! Sophia is a good friend of mine and has been for years – we’ve gotten to see each other get married, have babies and now for the second time we are actually pregnant together (though this time she is way ahead of me!). I was super excited to photograph her as she is one gorgeous mama, and just glows even more when she is pregnant. Thank you Sophia, I had a blast with you, and I can’t wait to meet that sweet baby girl of yours!!!

I can’t wait to meet these precious new babies! They couldn’t be joining a more awesome family either! You might remember them from their family session last fall . They are beautiful people and I LOVE photographing them. :-) I still can’t get over Mom’s perfect stomach….two babies in there and not a stretch mark in sight! Ah-mazing!

Miss Esther has arrived! – Birth photography

My wonderful friend Maggie had her baby late Monday night (you can see her maternity session here). I was so honored to be asked to be in the room when little Miss Esther arrived! It was BY FAR the most amazing experiences that I have had the opportunity to photograph. There is nothing on earth that is more raw and real than childbirth….it’s just simply AMAZING! Maggie did awesome, the whole process went so quick (though Maggie might disagree!) and she was just a trooper through the whole thing….including having having to have baby’s head turned part way through pushing (OUCH!).

Miss Esther came out perfectly healthy and with a very healthy set of lungs (you know it’s loud when even the Doctor says “wow, that ones got a good set of lungs in her!”). The entire staff at St.Johns was just great through the whole thing – flexible and very attentive to Maggie, and patient with me and all the photos that I was taking. I tried to stay out of their way as much as possible, but I know a flashed one of the staff at least once in the eyes with my flash…I’m sorry!!!! Thank you St. Johns staff for being so flexible with me, I really appreciate it! And thank you Maggie for having me there! She is just beautiful and God’s gift to you for such a time as this!

Baby girl on the way! – Woodland Washington maternity photography

Last year in May I did a newborn session for this family, their two daughters were both just precious and I had such a fun time with all of them (you can see the session here). Well….before I even had a chance to deliver the photos to the family, I got message saying that they were expecting….again! The two youngest girls are going to be about 11 months apart. I’m so excited for them, it’s going to be so fun to have two girls that close in age, though I’m sure it will super busy for awhile!

Miss “E” is due to arrive here in 2 weeks or so and I can’t wait to meet her! Congratulations guys!

Mommy and me maternity – Longview pregnancy photography

I met up with the “W” family last week for some maternity photos with them and their daughter. A new baby should be arriving sometime this week or next and I am so excited for them! Mom was absolutely glowing and miss “A” did amazing for the photo shoot,. You could just tell she was excited for her new little brother or sister (we don’t know which it is yet!) that will be arriving soon!

Congratulations to the W family! I can’t wait to meet your new little one!

Classy lady – Longview Maternity photography

I met up with Maggie again this week so we could get some photos with her husband included – he wasn’t able to make it to our last session. I had lots of fun just hanging out with her, she was in the middle of moving into a new house (which is absolutely GORGEOUS!), so things were super busy, but I thrive on busyness and so this was right up my alley. Maggie was up for all sorts of creative stuff (but some it I won’t be sharing because it’s a bit more personal….) So creative stuff + busyness + hanging out with a friend + her husbands awesome espressos (he’s a starbucks guy!) = a session that’s right up my alley!

Thanks Maggie! Love ya, and I can’t wait to meet your beautiful new baby girl!

Double baby bumps – Longview Wa. Maternity Photographer.

Two of my wonderful friends – Maggie and LaVona are both expecting babies just a few weeks a part. M is 36 weeks and expecting her fifth, a little girl, Miss “E”, due in mid-March. M is a photographer as well, in fact she photographed my wedding nearly 4 years ago and did an absolutely amazing job! My wedding photos are one of my most cherished posessions! L is 32 weeks along in her pregnancy. L is a doula and has her own business called Angel Hope Maternal Care. She has an amazing life story involving her many pregnancies but you’ll have to visit her site to read it! This will be the 6th child in the “A” family, and little miss “S” will be arriving sometime in mid-April.

This was the first time I have ever done a double maternity session, and I am so glad they came up with the idea because I don’t think I have ever had this much fun during a maternity session! We were totally outnumbered – 3 ladies, lots of photo equipment, and 9 children….wowzers….it was busy but so much fun!

Pregnancy and pickles always seem to go hand in hand……

We got 9 out of 10 hands in this one – not bad right?

Baby on the way! – Longview WA Maternity Photography

I met up with Mr and Mrs. A at the lake in Longview for the first part of their session, and then finished their session at their home. It’s been snowing a lot here and it made for a gorgeous backdrop to some fun outdoor maternity photos. It was fun getting to know these two! You could just feel the excitement about baby’s soon to be arrival. The new addition to their family should be here sometime in January, and I’m looking forward to meeting baby and for the chance to photograph him as well.

Babies #4 and #5 are on the way! The Rowley family is expecting twin boys, Malachi and Titus, to arrive in about 5 weeks. Mom looked amazing! These boys are going to have quite the welcoming committee with 3 big sisters. The girls excitement about their little brothers on the way was totally contagious! I can’t wait to take newborn photos for them! Congrats Mike, Sarah and girls!

The Arrival….

I got the privilege to be the photographer for the birth of my new nephew, baby Declan. It was an amazing experience, and I loved being a part of it! He arrived 55 minutes past his mommy’s birthday…I think he wanted his own special day. Oh, and I just have to note, the studly man on the right side of photo #6 in this post, is my hubby Bryce.
