I met up with Mike and Kelly yesterday for their engagement session out at Willow Grove.    I’m scheduled to photograph their wedding on July 18th and I’m looking forward to it!  I love it when couples choose to do an engagment session prior to thier wedding – it’s such a great time for us all to get familiar with each other, the bride and groom get a chance to see how I work and and I get a feel for how the couple is going to interact on thier wedding day.   When the wedding day comes, the photography seems to flow that much smoother because we are all already familiar with each other.   It makes my job a piece of cake! 

I really enjoyed getting to know these two a little better – it was fun getting them to laugh and I *hope* they enjoyed themselves as much as I did!  Thank you  Mike and Kelly and I look forward to seeing you two again here soon!

Joe and Katie are getting married this September!

I first met Katie last October when she initially booked her wedding with me – shortly after that she was interviewed to be on Good Morning America for what she had been going through.  Katie is a cancer survivor, and due to an early mis-diagnoses nearly lost her life.  Katie e-mailed me the link to her interview a few weeks back and I thought you all might appreciate the information shared in her interview -

From what I understand Joe has been an amazing support to Katie through everything, and she is doing well – the cancer is in remission and they are getting married this fall!

I’m so honored to be able to be a part of their wedding!  Thank you guys for having me and my thoughts and prayers are with you!

This couple definately knows the way to my heart!   They showed up to their Valentines Day engagement session with a box of chocolates for their photographer -  I was  so surprised!  What a couple of sweethearts!  (and they are officially my new favorite clients!)  It was my first time meeting Ian since both of them are living out of Longview right now and he didn’t get to make it to our initial wedding consult last year.  It was a great “get to know ya” session for all of us, and I had a lot of fun meeting him and photographing both of them.   I know their wedding is going to be amazing and I am totally looking forward to being a part of it this coming August!

Congrats Tricia and Ian!  You are awesome, thank you again for the chocolate – it was good!!
