Beautiful fall colors – Longview Washington Senior photography
I met up with Lane this last Friday for her senior photos – We did a mini-session at the lake and we’ll be doing another session later on in the spring so that she can get the best of both worlds. Mini-sessions are becoming a popular choice this year for a lot of my seniors who can’t decide whether or not they want fall or spring photos. I really like being able to offer lots of options to my clients so I’m thinking it’s going to be a great win/win situation for us all this year. Lane really wanted to have fall colors in her photos and what better place to do a session than at the lake with all of it’s beautiful trees.
Thank you Lane for having me as your photographer! I enjoyed meeting you and I’m looking forward to our spring session! :-)
The “C” Family – Longview Washington Family photography
Mrs. “C” and I have been friends for years…..I believe since birth! I love her wonderful family to death and of course was more than happy to do some family photos for them this summer. We did the session a few weeks ago while the weather was still gorgeous and I’ve just taken FOREVER to get these on my blog (I blame it on my computer crashing!) Like I said, the weather was perfect out at Willow Grove where we did the session. I was loving the bright golden backlight and beautiful blue water. Perfect setting for a family photo session!
A big thank you to the “C” family and the rest will be ready for you soon!
The McMullen’s…..
Meet Mr. and Mrs. McMullen, two of my all time favorite clients! You might remember them for their e-session post about 6 months ago where they totally won my heart by bringing me chocolate. (It was good chocolate too!). On Saturday these two sealed the deal and became Mr and Mrs. Ian and Tricia McMullen. I throughly enjoyed my day with them and they had an absolutely gorgeous outdoor wedding in the Longview Civic Circle and then finished up their day with a rocking reception at the Monticello Hotel.
One of my favorite parts of the day was where Ian surprised Tricia with her ring – he had it upgraded and waited until the wedding day to show her. Her reaction was PRICELESS…….
Nate captured an awesome ring photo yet again!

I was loving the crazy lighting in these….so fun!
The “YMCA”
And a few final favorites from the day:
My assistant got this one -I loved the crazy angle here.
Precious. – Longview WA children’s photography
My kids and I were in a wedding several months ago and I fell in love with their outfits, but being that I was a bridesmaid for the wedding, the camera got left in the bag that day and almost no shots were taken of my kids all dressed up. I wanted to do something cute and artsy with them, I just needed the right opportunity and two very wonderful assistants to help me finally get the pictures that “I’ve” always wanted of my kids. It’s hard when you’re a photographer to get images of your kids. I only have so many creative tricks I can pull out of my hat, and I’ve already used them all on these guys. This time it took me promising candy, ice cream, rides on the lawn mower, and doing a goofy dance. When it was all done I was so happy that I had taken the time to do this. I think that they are the most beautiful and precious little lives that exist, I may be biased, but you can’t deny that they are precious!
This was the reward for being good! He didn’t mind posing for me here at all!
This is what they did when I pulled out the camera the first time……
….and this is where they realized “if we just suck it up and give her a smile she’s gonna stop and give us candy”. (yeah…they were totally done at this point!) :-)
Thank you.
Just wanted to give a big thank you to all the men and women who have protected, served and sacrificed for our country over the years. We owe our lives and our freedom to you. We are so blessed to live in this amazing nation and I truly thank the Lord that I was born here in America! We have so many freedoms that we take for granted, we seem to go about our lives and forget how many men and woman died just so that we could be free. So a big thank you to our service people and veterans. You are greatly appreciated and I feel blessed to have you protecting and serving our nation!
The “L” family – Longview Washington Family Photography
I met up with the “L” family this last Monday for some family photos at a park next to the Columbia River. They have the most precious family, 3 beautiful daughters and one adorable son. It was really windy out when we did the session because we were right next to the river, and so the poor kids were freezing, but despite the coldness they did amazing and I was so happy with how these turned out!
A big thank you to the “L” family for having me as your photographer and I hope you enjoy your preview!
Trash the Dress Round 1
Saturday I got together with 7 lovely models and 3 other local photographers to do a Trash the Dress session in Kalama. The shoot went amazing, lasting about 6 hours total. I got some amazing photos and models totally ROCKED it! I still haven’t even had a chance to go through everything that I got, but I didn’t want to make the gals wait forever to see a preview so I pulled one real quick for each gal to share on here. There will be lots more to come later this week!
Beautiful Baby River! – newborn photographer, Longview Wa.
Miss River arrived nearly two weeks ago and I had the pleasure of taking her newborn photos! She is such a doll! It was so much fun getting to take photos of a newborn after being so busy lately with seniors, newborns are just so precious and squishy and I always enjoy every second of these sessions!
She said ‘Yes!’
So a bit of backstory is needed here…. (and just an FYI, this is a bit more personal than what I generally get on here, but totally worth sharing!)
My friend Beth has been the most amazing loyal friend a girl could ever ask for. She’s been there for me through my good times, my bad times and my just plain stupid times. She’s always told me the truth….even sometimes when I really didn’t want to hear it, because that’s what good friends do. I was so incredibly honored to get to be a part of this…
So last Wednesday Beth’s boyfriend Matt called me up and told me he was planning on proposing to Beth (which I am totally thrilled about because, well, he’s just pretty stinkin cool!) He wanted me there when he asked her the question so there could be photos of the proposal. He asked me to give her a call to see if they (as in Matt and her) would like to go on a double date with my husband and I. So I did, and she said yes.
We set out on our double date to Cannon Beach. We stopped on the way there at Seaside and shopped awhile, and the whole time Beth had NO idea what was planned for her.
Closer on towards sunset we drove to Cannon Beach and started walking along. We got in front of Haystack Rock and my hubby said “Hey, why don’t you take our picture together and then we can take your picture together?” So we posed and then I fell back with my camera all ready to catch the action….

So yes…. it was perfect, and she did say Yes!

And just one more of Beth and I in that AMAZING hat store in Seaside!
