I have to preface this by saying I am SO late in blogging this session – we did this in mid-July, and well….life has gotten away from me just a bit! Sophia is a good friend of mine and has been for years – we’ve gotten to see each other get married, have babies and now for the second time we are actually pregnant together (though this time she is way ahead of me!). I was super excited to photograph her as she is one gorgeous mama, and just glows even more when she is pregnant. Thank you Sophia, I had a blast with you, and I can’t wait to meet that sweet baby girl of yours!!!

Tinkerbell – Longview Children’s photographer
Last week was my precious daughter’s 4th birthday – I seriously can’t believe it! SHE’S 4!!!!! For her birthday she was given an adorable little Tinkerbell costume, straight from Disneyland. My family and I got to go to Disneyworld last year, and ever since then my kids have wanted to go back (either there or to Disneyland). Just last week at the breakfast table we were all talking about geography (I’m kind of a nerd and have giant maps next to my dining room table….geography fascinates me!) when my daughter out of nowhere says “I’m just TIRED of living here….I think our family should live in Disneyworld from now on!!!” Yeah….they love it, but what kid doesn’t?
Being that about 3 weeks ago she decided to chop off her hair (big brother helped) I thought a Tinkerbell shoot would work out just fine for her – she’s got the pixie cut and the pixie costume and is completely obsessed with everything Disney and especially Tinkerbell so why not?
I had fun putting together this collage – I always love to show the out-takes, and being that she was born with her father’s sense of humor, there were plenty!
Alex – Longview Senior portraits.
When Alex told me her vision for her session I couldn’t help but get excited – I LOVE anything vintage and it’s rare that I get a chance to photograph a session with a vintage twist. Alex’s wardrobe (and her beauty!!!) is really what made this session perfect…..well, the setting was awesome too….but the wardrobe and Alex…I love it! If I were rich, I would hire this girl to be my stylist. :-) (Did I mention I LOVE vintagey things?). So….being that her outfits were vintage, it was only proper that I give a few of these photos a vintage twist in the processing.
Thank you Alex for having me as your photographer! I had a blast working with you. :-)
1st Birthday Cake Smash!
“C” came to my studio last month for his 1 year old cake smash session – he was just too cute, and totally covered in blue icing by the end of the day. It was freezing cold the day of his session and we decided we wanted outdoor photos too, so a week after his cake smash we went down to the Lake for some fun outdoor shots as well.
